A macOS menu-bar app that announces each track out loud as it starts playing, like a radio DJ — with optional AI-written intros including a genuine fact about the artist.

MacDJ watches Apple Music and Spotify and speaks over the top of the deck like a late-night radio host — ducking the music while it talks, staying quiet through album listens, and never interrupting a resume from pause. The fun part: it can ask your locally signed-in Claude or Gemini CLI to write a fresh intro for every track, no API key needed, falling back to offline templated lines.
